As ridiculous as it sounds, Jake Paul was close to signing a near-fatal deal that would have put him inside the ring against former heavyweight boxing champion, Anthony Joshua.
Instead, “El Gallo” will continue his run against ”tiny” opponents when he throws hands opposite Gervonta “Tank” Davis later this year on Netflix.
That frees up Joshua to pursue his long-desired Tyson Fury fight.
“He’s (Joseph Parker) in the game to fight whoever, whenever and that’s the DNA of a real general,“ Joshua wrote on
Instagram. ”Unlike his dippy mate Tyson Fury. I would [dissect] his career/record in minutes but I’ll leave that for a potential gloves are off, if he ever comes back and fights Big Femi.“
“To my supporters, I’ll be back to lace up my boots and put on my gloves sooner than later,” Joshua added. “Hopefully punching Fury’s head in and dancing around his flicker jab with ease.“
Fury insists he’s retired from boxing and won’t be returning.
Joshua, 35, is coming off a knockout loss to Daniel Dubois last fall but vowed to come back stronger. Prior to his “Dynamite” detonation, “AJ” won four straight with two knockouts, including this showstopper opposite former UFC champ Francis Ngannou in Riyadh.
