The Niners are big favorites in a game that’s expected to be high-scoring. According to FanDuel Sportsbook, San Francisco opened up as 9.5-point favorites with the total set at 51.5. That ties for the highest total this season and the second-largest point spread.
Raiders
games have been video game-esque. They just beat the Jets 38-33. They let the Rams score 35 in Week 7. The Bills scored 33 in Week 6, and Drake Maye dropped 45 the week prior.
Geno Smith threw for 290 yards. Adonai Mitchell was unguardable, while Garrett Wilson had a “quiet” 83 yards. It was a different story against the Rams. Kyren Williams and Blake Corum each ran for over 90 yards.
Let’s just say the 49ers aren’t going up against the 2000 Ravens.
Klint Kubiak has the Raiders’ offense functioning. Ashton Jeanty was not the lead back against the Jets. Instead, rookie Mike Washington got the carries, with 25 compared to Jeanty’s two.
That offense runs through Brock Bowers, who had 10 targets against the Jets. Bowers finished with seven catches for 92 yards and two touchdowns. Kirk Cousins, who threw three touchdowns, has no problem tossing it up to Bowers in contested situations. Bowers has double-digit targets in all but two games this season. He’s a monster, so you understand why Vegas goes out of their way to feature him.
The 49ers haven’t covered the spread in a couple of weeks. They’ve also gone under the total in back-to-back weeks. For a while there, it felt like this would be a dead-on over team.
Will things change this week?
