Commanders head coach Dan Quinn held his Friday press conference in the early afternoon, his last public comments before Sunday’s home game against the New York Giants.
Injuries were a major topic of conversation, as expected when the Commanders included 23 individuals on their participation reports this week. While playing status is largely uncertain at the time of this story’s publication — we know Stefon Diggs is out and the Jayden Daniels, Sam Cosmi and Rachaad White will play — Quinn was also
asked if the team is investigating why they’ve had so much injury volume.
Quinn also touched on White’s toughness in ways that don’t always show up in the stat sheet. He said that Lucas Patrick is now the Commanders starter at center and has marveled at the veteran’s ability to make an impact so fast. There was also talk of pre-snap issues and how to handle explosive Giants receiver in this Friday presser.
