The San Francisco 49ers are in action after their bye. They’ll host the Las Vegas Raiders, who have been a sneaky-good offense this season.
Kirk Cousins is playing at a high level in the year 2026. The Raiders are fifth in passing EPA. A big reason why is Brock Bowers, who is one of the best skill players in the NFL. He’s proven to be unguardable. The 49ers will have their hands full with Bowers.
The Raiders are one-dimensional, though. Ashton Jeanty was soft-benched a week ago. Rookie Mike Washington
took his place with 25 carries, but only had 83 yards. Las Vegas also stalls out in the red zone. They’re scoring a touchdown at a 53% clip. Settling for field goals against the Niners is a death knell.
A defensive line with Nick Bosa and DeForest Buckner should make life miserable on the Raiders.
On the other side of the ball, George Kittle should have a big afternoon. Christian McCaffrey and Kaelon Black should find plenty of running room, too. We’ll see how much the wide receivers are involved.
This game will be won in the red zone. The 49ers are scoring over 86% of the time. The offense should take its frustrations out on the Raiders, having not had the ball much against Atlanta and making several mistakes when they did.
