On her latest Making Monsters podcast, Taylor Doll continues her massive NFL Draft series, looking at prospects who could find their way onto the Chicago Bears.
This time, she chats with Swamp 247’s Zach Goodall about the top Florida Gators’ prospects in the 2026 draft, like defensive tackle Caleb Banks, cornerback Devin Moore, EDGE Tyreak Sapp, and center Jake Slaughter.
“I think that he’s been Florida’s best offensive lineman the past couple years,” Goodall said about Slaughter. “He was an all-American
2024, second team all-American this past year… but I think it was more a reflection of Florida’s offensive line as a whole kind of taking a step back.”
Goodall said Slaughter is an experienced, athletic prospect who’s good in pass protection and is an effective communicator.
“In a class full of defensive tackles who aren’t really fantastic pass rushers, he (Caleb Banks) offers the upside that I don’t think anyone else does,” Goodell said about the 6’6”, 327-pound Banks. “And that really was evident in that stretch at the end of the 2024 season. You look at his LSU and Old Miss games back to back, and he’s just a game wrecker.
Banks tried to play through a foot injury in 2025, but he ultimately needed surgery. In 2024, he had 4.5 sacks, 7.5 tackles for loss, 2 forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery.
