Barcelona have confirmed that Frenkie de Jong has officially signed a new contract extension at the club that runs until 2029.
The new deal has been in the works for a little while but has now been completed
which ensures the Dutchman’s future at the club is locked down.
The Dutchman’s new contract also reportedly includes a release clause that has risen to €500 million.
De Jong joined Barcelona from Ajax all the way back in 2019, meaning his new contract will take him to a decade with the Catalan giants.
The Dutchman has previously said that Barca are the club of his dreams and he’s so far won La Liga and the Copa del Rey twice as well as the Spanish Super Cup during his time at the club.
