All Elite Wrestling returns to pay-per-view tonight (Mar. 15) with Revolution 2026. The show comes our way from Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California.
The event begins at 7 pm ET with the Zero Hour pre-show on YouTube. That leads right into the PPV main card at 8 pm ET. Fans in the USA can purchase it from PPV.com, HBO Max, Amazon, DAZN, and YouTube, or their cable or satellite provider. Internationally, it’s on Triller TV, and may be available via those providers as well.
Tony Khan might be repeating one of the worst decisions in AEW history
The main event of Revolution
is MJF defending the AEW world championship in a Texas Death match against Hangman Page. If Page loses, he will never be able to challenge for the AEW world title for the rest of his career.
The condition where Page can never challenge for the title again is the same exact one that AEW used with Cody Rhodes at Full Gear 2019 when MJF cost him the world title match against Chris Jericho. This turned out to be a huge booking mistake; Cody was lost in his own little awkward side universe within AEW kayfabe afterwards because he could never challenge for world title again. Is there any chance Cody might still be with AEW if this booking decision was never made at that time?
Hangman is in a different position because he’s already won the world title multiple times. He is synonymous with that belt in a lot of ways, and some folks might argue that it’s time to move him away from it for a while. Even so, removing him from the world title mix for the rest of his career sounds like a very bad idea that adds intrigue in the short-term (it’s a hell of a hook to purchase Revolution) but is almost all downside for the long-term if he actually loses.
One obvious way to avoid that outcome is for Hangman to win the world title tonight. The whole point of making it a Texas Death match with this condition is to get fans to believe there’s no way Hangman can lose. I mean, Tony Khan wouldn’t really repeat one of the worst booking decisions in company history with a top star who isn’t even 35 years old, right?
Within kayfabe, I think Hangman comes off like a huge dumbass for picking this stipulation and condition. Even though Texas Death is his bread and butter, and also how he won the world title from Jon Moxley last year at All In, he has created the most tempting incentive possible for any current or former enemy of his to interfere and cost him everything tonight. At the very least, Page should have followed Toni Storm’s route of also banning everyone else from ringside for this match.
One possible scenario where Hangman’s past may come back to haunt him tonight is with Swerve Strickland, who recently turned heel and seems to no longer regret his terrible actions that led him to the AEW world championship a couple years ago. Swerve’s head is in a very different place than it was earlier this year when he was teaming with Page, so he may now see an opportunity for the ultimate revenge against the man who burned down his childhood home. Even if that’s not what Swerve is thinking about, perhaps his advice has left an impression on Hangman’s trios partner Kevin Knight, who could be frustrated with some of his recent loses and make a statement to Swerve by turning on Page.
In other words, there are just too many outside factors in play with the stakes this high for Hangman to be so confident that he will win. Even if nobody interferes, this is still MJF standing across the ring from him, who is one of the best wrestlers in AEW at using underhanded shenanigans to win his own matches. Hangman’s confidence level about winning this match, even with Texas Death, should be a lot closer to 50% than 100%, but he chose an extreme condition that implies the latter. It’s a case of AEW’s main character making one of the most foolish decisions imaginable due to overconfidence.
Is Tony Khan about to repeat one of the worst booking decisions in AEW history by taking Hangman Page out of the AEW world championship scene for the rest of his career, or will MJF lose the gold in his first PPV defense since winning it? Tune into Revolution to find out.
The rest of the card
These remaining 12 matches and segments are also currently advertised for tonight at Revolution:
Thekla (c) vs. Kris Statlander in a 2 out of 3 Falls match for the AEW women’s world title
The Toxic Spider won the belt from Statlander last month in a strap match, and they are potentially going to three falls in tonight’s rematch. Thekla made quite a statement when she completely destroyed former world champion Thunder Rosa earlier this month, so Kris may be in for a world of trouble here.
Jon Moxley (c) vs. Konosuke Takeshita for the AEW Continental championship, no time limit
Even though Mox won the Continental Classic, Takeshita picked up a win over him in the round robin portion of the tournament. Moxley tried to get his win back last month at Grand Slam Australia, but they instead fought to a 20-minute time limit draw. The Continental championship rules have been adjusted for tonight to get rid of the time limit, so these two men will go at it for as long as necessary to determine a winner.
Mark Davis, Kazuchika Okada & Kyle Fletcher (c) vs. Mistico, Kevin Knight & Speedball Bailey for the AEW world trios titles
The Don Callis Family just won these belts less than two weeks ago from Hangman Page and JetSpeed thanks to interference from MJF. CMLL’s top star Mistico is now replacing Hangman in the rematch, which I guess technically means it’s not a rematch. For whatever it’s worth, Kevin Knight was pinned twice in two different title matches on the night that they lost the trios gold to Don’s very large family, and Swerve Strickland is still in his ear about changing his approach. Will another loss be what it takes for Kevin to realize that his current allies are holding him back?
FTR (c) vs. Young Bucks for the AEW world tag team championship
This time it’s not just about proving which of these teams is the greatest of the current generation, because Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler made it personal by injuring the Bucks’ brother with a spike piledriver. Matt and Nick’s family will be there for this PPV match, so that means FTR have potentially lots more piledrivers to dish out on them tonight, but only in self defense, of course. Is there any chance that Adam Copeland returns to AEW tonight to stop FTR from attacking the Bucks’ family?
“Timeless” Toni Storm vs. Marina Shafir, everyone banned from ringside
Toni Storm is sick of the Death Riders always hanging around like dingleberries, so she got everyone banned from ringside for this singles match against Marina Shafir. Now that it’s an even playing field, can Timeless Toni withstand Mother’s Milk and prove that she belongs back in the world title mix with a win over Shafir at Revolution?
Bandido vs. Andrade El Idolo
All the ladies at ringside love Andrade, who is being pushed like an upper card star now in AEW. Meanwhile, Bandido’s ROH world title isn’t on the line. That’s probably a big hint as to which Mexican wrestler is walking out of this PPV match with the win.
Brody King vs. Swerve Strickland
Swerve was insulted when Kenny Omega recently referred to Brody King as the most dangerous man in AEW. Strickland responded by taking out Kenny with a vertebreaker through a table and then choking out Brody with a chain. Will Omega find a way to make it to Los Angeles from his Street Fighter gig in Japan this week to get revenge on Swerve and help Brody win? How loud will the very appropriate “Fuck ICE” chants be in LA?
Darby Allin, Roderick Strong & Orange Cassidy vs. David Finlay, Clark Connors & Gabe Kidd
David Finlay came out of his dad’s nut sack and is now in AEW, where he’s joined up with The Dogs to try murdering Darby Allin and friends. Roderick Strong is suddenly down to conglomerate with Orange Cassidy after recently bailing on him, but this match will likely be the real proof of whether or not the babyfaces can trust him.
Babes of Wrath (c) vs. Lena Kross & Megan Bayne for the AEW women’s world tag team titles
Willow Nightingale is pulling double duty at Revolution in two different title matches, and it will be difficult to retain both belts. AEW generally tries to protect Megan Bayne in its booking, so I’d say Willow’s tag title reign with Harley Cameron is in bigger jeopardy of ending.
Willow Nightingale (c) vs. Lena Kross for the TBS championship (pre-show)
This is Willow’s other title match, and it’s on the pre-show. Whoever wins this one is probably losing in the tag team match on the main card, I would think.
21-man Blackjack Battle Royal for the AEW National championship (pre-show)
I guess Tony Khan really has it in for Ricochet, because he dumped him in this random pre-show Battle Royal where 20 other men can win his title. Psycho Killer Tommaso Ciampa is one of the other 20 men who are in this match, and he will go to the extreme to win another championship in AEW. Will Mark Briscoe also be there to pay Ciampa back for turning on him last week?
Big Boom AJ & QT Marshall vs. The Infantry (pre-show)
It’s time for the Costco Guy to win another pre-show match in AEW. Shane Taylor’s henchmen are the ones who get to do the job for him, because this is where the best wrestle, and also QT Marshall.
What will you be looking for at Revolution?
