Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Throughout the year, we ask questions of the most plugged-in Bears fans and fans across the country.
We don’t know who the Chicago Bears plan to sit on Saturday night against the Cincinnati Bengals, but we have a pretty good idea of who will play.
The healthy members of the rookie class will be out there again, so Dillon Thieneman will be starting at safety, and Malik Muhammad II will be getting snaps at nickelback. Defensive tackle Jordan
van den Berg, who you guys mostly voted for last week, will look to build off a nice debut. Whether they start again or not, center Logan Jones and tight end Sam Roush will get plenty of reps.
The left tackle competition last week featured Kiran Amegadjie and Jedrick Wills Jr., but this week Braxton Jones returned to practice, as did Ozzy Traplio. However, Ozzy is just one day off the PUP and was only doing some individual work. Theo Benedet, who played right tackle in the preseason opener, finally got some left tackle reps at practice and could factor in.
The most competitive roster battle could be for WR6, as Scotty Miller, Ray-Ray McCloud III, Kaden Davis, and Maurice Alexander all have been making their case. Perhaps JP Richardson, who has also had a nice camp, can put some good tape up in Cincinnati.
