With Sunday’s final (and all of the Argentina shithousery) now in the past, we can officially close the door on the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Over 100 games played, over 300 goals scored and many hydration breaks in between, we now have a new world champion — and it’s the same nation that was crowned European champions two years ago.

As we know, the number of Juventus players at this year’s World Cup was much, much lower than what we’ve seen in so
many previous tournaments before it. All you need was a polydactyl cat’s paw to be able to count the number of Juve players who were in North America as part of their nation’s respective World Cup rosters. All of six Juve players were at the 2026 World Cup — and as we know not all of them actually played much, or at all.
They were:
- Kenan Yildiz (Turkiye)
- Weston McKennie (Juventus)
- Francisco Conceição (Portugal)
- Teun Koopmeiners (Netherlands)
- Jonathan David (Canada)
- Gleison Bremer (Brazil)
You could technically throw another name in there if you want considering Nico Gonzalez’s loan spell at Atlético Madrid came to an end midway through the tournament, but I’m pretty nobody was sitting there legitimately saying Juventus had a player in Sunday’s World Cup final against Spain. Or maybe you were for the lulz, who knows.
Either way, there are players on that short list who were incredibly important to their team. There were others who basically were bench options and nothing more. Or, in the case of one broad-shouldered Brazilian, they were simply one of the handful of notable names to go to the World Cup but ultimately never actually play a second.
It was a mixed bag — and maybe that is even putting it midly.
So, as we put a bow on World Cup coverage around these parts, the Juventus Question of the Day is this: Which Juventus player had the best World Cup of the six-player contingent who were in North America?
