Texas A&M’s current focus is on continuing their 2025 season, as the Aggies gear up to face Miami in the first round of the College Football Playoff on Dec. 20. But A&M fans still got some good news with
regard to 2026, as QB Marcel Reed confirmed in an interview with Robert Griffin that he will return next season.
Reed finished the regular season with 3,398 total yards, and 31 total TDs, stats last surpassed by an Aggie quarterback by Johnny Manziel in 2013. His return would help stabilize an offense that stands to lose a great deal in 2026, including RBs Le’Veon Moss/E.J. Smith/Amari Daniels, WR K.C. Concepcion, TE Nate Boerkircher and potentially the entire offensive line. Add in the departure of OC Collin Klein to take the head coaching gig at his alma mater, and A&M will see a ton of changes to the offense in 2026. Knowing QB won’t be one of them will be a huge boost.
