We’re two games deep into preseason and that’s enough for us fans to be feeling good this Friday! Don’t believe me?
Hear it from the voice of the Timberwolves, Alan Horton.
Will it get frustrating to watch LaMelo Ball
and Anthony Edwards host their own personal three-point contest every game? Sure. But will it be scintillating to watch when it works? You bet your ass it will. I have friends of mine who are fans of other teams texting me about how much better the Wolves look versus last year. Players are moving with a purpose. The ball is pinballing around.
It’s that much of a contrast.
They’re certainly far from a finished product. The defense has a lot of work to do. The bench unit has even more work to do. But it’s feels good to watch a fun basketball team. Hopefully they’ll also be a winning basketball team.
Something I’m feeling good about? Though I hope Ricky Rubio’s #9 hangs in the Target Center rafters one day, there’s a new Wolves player wearing that number. The last time someone donned this holy number, it was someone I got the chance to interview them about a shared ethnicity.
The new number 9? He might not have been draining three-pointers like Johnny Juzang, but he was throwing down a monster dunk. Hello, Cody Williams! Welcome to the brotherhood of #9.
So how do Feel Good Friday work?
