The Buffalo Bills are set to take on the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday Night Football, but there are still plenty of questions around the club’s pass catchers simply because we haven’t seen much of the offense yet. As the Bills enter year two of “Everybody Eats,” I’m curious to see who might lead the team in receiving yards in Week 1.
Like I often do, I took to social media to get an idea of what Bills fans think about this question. In my opinion there are four main options for consideration: Keon Coleman,
Dalton Kincaid, Joshua Palmer, and Khalil Shakir. No disrespect is meant towards Dawson Knox, James Cook, and Elijah Moore, but I felt that these four options would be the favorites in this discussion.
Shakir was the top vote-getter — with 39% of the responses picking the Boise State product to lead the team. I was a bit surprised by the response based on Shakir’s ankle injury, but he was the team’s leading receiver in 2024. Coleman finished second in the voting with 25%, as many anticipate that Coleman will show improved consistency heading into Week 1. All reports out of training camp seemed to be positive about Coleman’s performance, and it remains to be seen if a nagging groin injury will limit his production this week.
Palmer received 21% of the votes, which was somewhat of a pleasant surprise. I feel as if Palmer has been a bit under the radar throughout training camp, and could catch fans by surprise against the Ravens. The final 15% of votes went to Dalton Kincaid, which I also found to be surprising. Expectations were so high for the former first-round pick last season that it almost feels like a bit of an over-correction by fans.
