According to a report from Sky Germany (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich is getting very close to contract extensions with attacker Serge Gnabry and right-back Konrad Laimer:
Serge Gnabry and
Konrad Laimer are both close to extending their contracts at FC Bayern. Gnabry is expected to sign a new deal until 2028. The duration of Laimer’s new contract is not yet entirely clear, but the year 2029 is being considered. The duo will be rewarded with new deals for their strong performances in the first half of the season.
Laimer’s play at right-back has been extremely good during the past two seasons, so a contract extension for the Austrian is not a surprise. Just a year ago, though, it would have been hard to envision Gnabry getting a new deal. Per Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg (via @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich board member for sport Max Eberl has been impressed by the Germany international’s run of play this season:
Max Eberl was already very impressed with Gnabry in summer 2024 and sees him as an important leader within the team. Hence the imminent new deal.
We are a long way from secret trips to Fashion Week, eh? Gnabry has five goals and eight assists in 22 games across all competitions. Meanwhile, Laimer has two goals and seven assists in 24 games across all competitions.
