The Buffalo Bills have been reeling in the secondary, and signs are pointing to more reinforcements in said secondary for the enormous showdown with Lamar Jackson and the Ravens tomorrow.
At 4:00pm on Saturday, the team announced moves that will make a trio of practice-squad defensive backs available for this Week 8 contest inside the new Highmark Stadium:
Couch being signed
from the practice squad is different from being elevated — players are only allowed to be elevated three times during the regular season, so this transaction will not be counted for Couch on that front.
Stone was signed by the Bills in March but was kept on the practice squad after being released at final cuts in late August.
Woods is the newest member of this Bills defense. The 2024 undrafted free agent has been on four other teams before the Bills signed him to the practice squad in early October. He has familiarity with Jim Leonhard having spent part of the 2025 campaign on the Broncos practice squad.
We’ll see how much these three defensive backs actually see the field, but with Dee Alford questionable and C.J. Gardner-Johnson suspended, it wouldn’t be surprising if they’re all used in some capacity against Baltimore.
