Purdue added to their 2026 recruiting class with the news that four-star guard Jacob Webber has verbally committed to the program.
The 6’6” guard is a top 150 recruit for 2026, with Rivals listing him as high as 31st in his class. Webber joins four-star point guard Luke Ertel as the second commit for the Boilermakers next season. Webber, who recently moved to Indiana after living in Nebraska, averaged 21.7 points per game last season while shooting 42% from
three the past two seasons. He held offers from numerous power conference schools including Nebraska, Creighton, Tennessee, Iowa and Washington.
“I felt like Purdue is the best fit with coaching and play style and I feel like I can thrive through their offense,” Webber said in an interview with On3. “I feel like Coach Painter and all the other coaches care for their players and overall want what’s best for them as a person and a player.”
Webber has been a sharpshooter from range and with Fletcher Loyer set to graduate this spring would possibly fill Purdue’s need for a three point specialist in 2026.
