On her latest Making Monsters podcast, Taylor Doll is joined by Marc Weiszer, who covers the Georgia Bulldogs for the Athens Banner-Herald. They discuss several Georgia prospects who could fall in the Chicago Bears’ range at 25, as well as potential picks later in the draft. They talk about offensive tackle Monroe Freeling, linebacker CJ Allen, and defensive tackle Christen Miller.
Linebacker is a sneaky need for the Chicago Bears, because while they did add Devin Bush and brought back D’Marco Jackson,
starting middle linebacker T.J. Edwards suffered a fractured fibula just three months ago. Allen was a team captain and the defensive play caller, and Weiszer called him a “coach in the field.”
In the NIL era of college football players getting paid, Allen approached his college career in a businesslike manner. “He’s not out there for shenanigans, even on the practice field,” Weiszer said about Allen. “He’s a guy that wants to win and play at a high level and make sure his teammates do as well.”
Give Taylor’s show a listen in either of the embeds below, and let us know your thoughts on the Bulldog prospects.
