QUESTIONABLE
Kris Murray (R Quad Contusion)
Murray missed Portland’s 125-122 win over the Dallas Mavericks on Monday due to the quad contusion.
Holiday last played on Nov. 14 and has missed 21 straight games because of his right calf strain. Henderson tore his left hamstring just before the start of training camp and hasn’t played in a game this season.
Almost six weeks ago on Nov. 21, the Blazers announced Holiday would be re-evaluated in 1-2 weeks and Henderson would be re-evaluated in 2-4 weeks. Since then, there have been no official updates from the organization on their statuses, outside of brief updates provided by Portland acting head coach Tiago Splitter.
Following practice on Dec. 10, Splitter said Henderson was participating in individual non-contact workouts, but not doing contact workouts with the team yet. Splitter has fielded more questions about Holiday’s status in recent weeks, but he hasn’t been specific in terms of a possible return timeline.
Before Portland’s game against the Sacramento Kings on Dec. 18, Splitter said Holiday is “getting there, but he’s not ready.”
“I want him to get 100% and feel good,” Splitter said that day. “He’s such an important player for us, and I don’t want to risk anything. … He had a couple workouts, but he’s not 100% yet.”
When asked about Holiday before games on Dec. 22 and Dec. 26, Splitter said both times that Holiday wasn’t ready yet.
Almost nine weeks ago on Oct. 31, the Blazers announced Thybulle underwent surgery to repair a tear of the ulnar collateral ligament in his left thumb and he would be re-evaluated in 4-6 weeks.
“[Thybulle’s] not there yet,” Splitter said about Thybulle’s recovery status before Monday’s game against Dallas. “I want to give you guys good news, but [he’s] not there yet. That’s all I can tell you.”
Grant has missed six consecutive games due to left Achilles tendonitis. Before Portland’s game against the Orlando Magic on Dec. 23, Splitter said Grant’s status was considered day-to-day.
The Blazers tip off against the Thunder at 5 p.m. Pacific on Wednesday. The matchup starts a three-game road trip for the Blazers.
