Lots of news involving the New York Jets today. The Jets placed linebackers Quincy Williams and Marcelino McCrary-Ball on the injured reserve list, a damaging blow to the Jets defense. They signed a couple of scrub linebackers to fill in. The Jets also traded a 2026 sixth round pick to the Tennessee Titans in exchange for second year cornerback Jarvis Brownlee Jr. and a seventh round pick. That seems like a pretty good deal for the Jets. Brownlee was a decent starting
cornerback for the Titans. A late round pick swap seems a minimal price to pay for such a player.
For now Brownlee has a lower leg injury and will probably not see action right away. Further down the line Brandon Stephens and/or Michael Carter may be in jeopardy of snaps to Brownlee.
