Bayern Munich might be getting its man on loan — Chelsea attacker Nicolas Jackson.
However, if Bayern Munich ultimately wants to keep its man, it will have to pay Chelsea handsomely per ESPN’s James Olley (via @iMiaSanMia):
If Nicolas Jackson to Bayern becomes permanent next year (€65m option to buy), Chelsea have secured a sell-on clause worth 25% of any future sale.
Bayern Munich has been reluctant to spend a lot this summer, hence the focus on loans. For next summer, though, with the anticipated
departures of several key players, €65 million for Jackson would seem to be in the target range for what the attacker might be worth. All of that, however, will be determined by how he plays, if (or when) the initial loan deal is finalized.
Bayern Munich is off to a solid start, but the transfer market has been hard on the Bavarians (despite some quality acquisitions and sales).
