The Boston Hunters came into yesterdays game against the New York Heights seeking their first win in team history. Going into the fifth inning it appeared as if they were going to need to wait at least another day before being able to accomplish that as they were down six to nothing thanks to two home runs from early MVP frontrunner Danae Benites.
Then came the fifth inning where the Hunters got on the board with two runs
but it was the sixth inning where everything really fell apart for the Heights. Highlighted by a bases clearing triple from Hunters third baseman Denver Bryant, who was later batted in by center fielder Gabrielle Haas, the Hunters clawed all the way back to tie the game and take a nine to six lead.
That lead would hold and the Hunters would take their first victory leaving both teams with a one and two record before their rematch today.
