The Dallas Cowboys are not done with extensions just yet.
Thursday evening brought with it news that tight end Brevyn Spann-Ford is the latest player to be locked up by the franchise for the foreseeable future. His agent reported that BSF and the Cowboys agreed to a 3-year extension. ESPN’s Todd Archer followed that up with details.
Spann-Ford has emerged as the unquestionable TE2 for the Cowboys behind Jake Ferguson. Given that Ferguson himself had his own extension take care of last year, the position is now solidified for the near future for the team.
As Archer noted the deal is worth $18M and comes with a little over $12M guaranteed. This is a great deal for BSF and it makes sense why he and his representation took advantage, especially given that he was on the road to restricted free agency.
