Greetings, BBN!
For this week’s Kentucky Reacts survey, we wanted to gauge fans’ confidence in how the men’s basketball and football teams will fare vs. the Alabama Crimson Tide this season.
After all, it’s not exactly been roses when it comes to Kentucky against the Tide across these two sports. Mark Pope has yet to beat Nate Oats, going 0-3 in their matchups thus far, while the Wildcats have lost six of nine overall in the series. They’ll host Alabama on February 6.
As for football, Kentucky hasn’t
been able to take down Bama since 1997 when Tim Couch led the Cats to an overtime win over the Tide. Since then, Bama has rolled to an eight-game winning streak over Kentucky, with only one of those games being decided by one score (2007). This year’s matchup will come in Week 2 at Kroger Field in the official SEC debut of head coach Will Stein.
So, how we feeling BBN? Is a sweep of the Tide coming? Or will Kentucky get rolled in both matchups? Let us know in the poll below and in the comments section!
Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NCAA. Throughout the year, we ask questions of the most plugged-in Kentucky fans and fans across the country. Go Cats!
