It’s time to start preparing for the 2025 Syracuse Orange football season. We’re going through the roster to take a look at each Syracuse player as we get to know a lot of new faces for Year 2 of the Fran Brown Era.
Up next is…
Name: Kardiear Shepherd
Position: Offensive Line
Year: Freshman
Height: 6’7”
Weight: 310 lbs.
Hometown: Syracuse, NY
High School/Previous College: Cicero North Syracuse
2024 stats: Selected to the All-CNY team. Helped CNS reach the Section 3 championship game by paving the way for a ground attack that accumulated 398 rushing yards in the semifinal.
2025 projections: Shepherd has the size to eventually be in the running for one of the tackle spots, but this season will be about strength and conditioning as he works on the scout team and goes against the Orange defense.
How’d he get here?: Chose the Orange over an offer from Buffalo.
What’d recruiting sites say?: Three stars all around and ranked as a top 15 player in New York
Winners Get Washed: Big Sir by Jack Black– the appropriate body wash for someone the size of Shepherd.
Interesting nugget o’interest: Last year he told the local news that he was a “quarterback at heart” so maybe there is a short-yardage package in his future.
Let’s get a look at ya: Hudl clip from last season
