Cooper Kupp left an impact on the Los Angeles Rams, their fans and their players, and Jared Verse seemingly recently spoke about how he really hasn’t kept up with Kupp since their time together in L.A., but he reflected that he had much respect for Kupp.
You can see the quote below and it makes sense. Kupp is a role model for NFL players. He’s continued to be relevant in the league, and he’s by all accounts a great person. The whole package.
Happy for Kupp. Too bad the Rams couldn’t keep him forever,
but that’s life sometimes, and something tells me he’s not too worried about it having just won a Super Bowl with the Seattle Seahawks.
It’s Wednesday, happy Hump Day and thank you for checking out Turf Show Times!
Rams’ Jared Verse Drops Truth Bomb on Cooper Kupp Relationship (heavy.com)
“I haven’t gotten to see Cooper in a while since we actually last played,” Verse said in an interview with Ratings. “I told him before they even won the Super Bowl, ‘Go win that.’ He’s like a big brother to me. That’s a real stoic dude. When he talks, you listen. The way he attacks the game and every aspect, he’s going to be successful, no matter where he goes.”
NFL analyst casts doubt on Sean McVay’s QB whisperer reputation (ramswire)
“There is no evidence that Sean McVay is going to whisper [Simpson] up to being a Super Bowl winner,” Jones said. “When it was time for Sean McVay to go win the Super Bowl, what did he go get? The generational physical talent [in Stafford], right? He did not go get somebody for him to whisper up. He went and got the dude who is, and I mean this positively, a poor man’s version of Patrick Mahomes. So, I’m just saying, what this ceiling is for Ty Simpson? Nothing of the McVay track record indicates that the ceiling is going to be higher than a pretty good quarterback … and saying you can win with Matthew Stafford and really good receivers is not saying that much.”
Kankakee native, new LA Ram Keagen Trost celebrated by community he’s become a role model for (shawlocal)
“As last month’s NFL Draft reached the back end of the third round, Keagen Trost flipped his phone face down around pick 90.
The 2019 Kankakee graduate and first-team All-SEC offensive tackle at Missouri knew he was slated to go as early as the third round, but as offensive linemen stopped coming off the board, he started to think that his draft night”
