“The Machine” is still running full steam ahead.
Red-hot Bantamweight knockout artist Malcolm Wellmaker will remain on the UFC 322 lineup after his original opponent, Serhiy Sidey, withdrew with a dislocated shoulder. Instead, the undefeated “Machine” will collide with another promising prospect, Australia’s Cody Haddon
, on Sat., Nov. 15, 2025, inside the iconic Madison Square Garden in New York City.MMAJunkie was first to announce the news.

Wellmaker (10-0) has enjoyed a phenomenal rookie campaign,
fighting twice already and might already be the front-runner for UFC “Rookie of the Year.” The 31-year-old “Machine” made a statement in his debut at UFC Kansas City, flattening Cameron Saaiman in less than two minutes to earn a $50,000 “Performance of the Night” bonus (watch highlights). He followed that up with another highlight-reel finish in his home state of Georgia, crushing a returning Kris Moutinho in less than three minutes (watch highlights).

Haddon (8-1) earned his contract on Season 8 of Dana White’s Contender Series and became the first winner from that season to make his Octagon debut. He made it count, outlasting Dan Argueta in a three-round war to earn a unanimous decision.
The 27-year-old was previously slated to face Aleksandre Topuria earlier this year at UFC 312, but an injury forced him out. Now healthy, Haddon returns boasting an 88 percent finish rate with five knockouts and two submissions — and he’s never been in a boring fight.
