Crud.
Teddy Hoffmann caught 25 passes for 349 yards (14.0 yards/rec) and 3 TDs last year while also returning 8 punts for 32 yards (4.0 yards/ret) and completing his lone pass attempt for 59 yards and a TD.
With Terrell Anderson (USC) and Noah Rogers (Alabama) gone via the transfer portal and Justin Joly and Wesley Grimes gone via graduation, Hoffmann and JR Keenan Jackson (28 rec, 281 yds, 2 TD) were the only returning receivers from last year’s NC State team with any significant playing time.
The Wolfpack did add rJR Davion Dozier (Appalachian State), rSO Chance Robinson (Miami), rSR Victor Snow (Buffalo), JR Joshisa Trader (Miami), and SR Tyran Warren (Alcorn State) via the transfer portal while the freshman class features Amiri Acker, Tyreek Copper, Jaire Richburg, and Aiden Smalls. NC State will need to rely on that group, as well as a jump in productivity from Jackson and fellow returnee rJR Ethan Dowdy (3 rec, 25 yds, 0 TD), plus contributions from rFR Je’rel Bolder and rSO Jonathan Paylor.
A rising sophomore, the suspension will also cost Hoffmann a year of eligibility. He will have two seasons of eligibility remaining and be a junior for the 2027 season.
