It wasn’t long ago that rumors were floating around that WWE was considering fast tracking Blake Monroe to the WWE main roster. She quickly won the North American championship in NXT before a botch ending with Thea Hail cost her the title, but the company obviously believes in her enough to at least consider bringing her up before she gets the chance to even go after the NXT women’s championship.
She doesn’t feel the same.
Or at least that’s what she told Not Sam Wrestling (via F4Wonline.com):
“I’m
not in any rush. As I said, I still have so much to do. I’ve hardly feuded with any of the women. I mean, Jordynne Grace wasted a lot of my time and now Jaida Parker is chasing me around, but there’s so many women I want to wrestle. I haven’t even approached the main women’s title. So there’s so much to do.”
Monroe’s run through AEW was such that it was always destined she would come to WWE at the earliest opportunity, and that’s exactly what happened. But does she really need to stay down in NXT while she learns all the WWE tricks of the trade, so to speak?
I say no, bring her up and shake things up as soon as possible.
Let me know if you disagree.
