EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — The New York Giants filled out their practice squad on Tuesday by signing four players.

The Giants added wide receiver/kick returner Charlie Jones , cornerback Elijah Jones, and offensive linemen Kingsley Eguakun and Darian Kinnard.

Charles Jones, 27, was a fourth-round pick by the Cincinnati Bengals in 2023. He caught eight passes in 33 games while also returning punts and kickoffs. Jones has averaged 9.2 yards on 50 career punt returns, and 27.3 yards on 47 kickoff returns.

The Giants also have wide receiver/kick returner Braxton Berrios on their practice squad. John Harbaugh said Monday that Berrios would be the team’s primary return man in the season-opener against the Dallas Cowboys. Jones, though, clearly offers the Giants depth in the return game.

Elijah Jones was a third-round pick by the Arizona Cardinals in 2024. He spent his rookie season on injured reserve. He played in 10 games last season, with 37 defensive snaps and 68 on special teams. He had three tackles and two pass breakups. Elijah Jones is a 6-foot-1, 185-pound 26-year-old.

Eguakun is a 6-foot-3, 305-pound center. A former undrafted free agent, he spent 2024 on the Detroit Lions’ practice squad. He was waived by the Lions at the end of last season, and picked up by the Cleveland Browns. Cleveland waived him this week when rosters were cut to the 53-man regular-season limit.

Eguakun, 25, will add center depth to the practice squad.

Kinnard, 26, was waived by the Green Bay Packers in roster cutdowns. Kinnard was a fifth-round pick by the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Kinnard has played in 20 NFL games. Seventeen of those, including four starts, came last season with the Packers. The 6-5, 322-pound Kinnard is primarily a right tackle.
