Making the right NFL picks each week requires more than choosing the team with the better record. Week 7 brings another opportunity to predict the winners, identify potential upsets, and separate smart picks from risky bets.
With the NFL season approaching the midpoint at the end of this month, every game carries added importance as teams fight for playoff positioning and try to build momentum. Some matchups feature clear favorites, while others could come down to the final possession. Injuries, recent
performances, and home-field advantage will all play a role in determining which teams have the edge.
My Week 6 picks went 8-6, bringing me to a season total of 54-37-1 (.592%).
Which teams should you trust this week, and where could an upset be waiting? Let’s break down every Week 7 matchup and make our picks for all the games on the schedule.

My Week 7 Picks
(Bye: Buffalo Bills, Jacksonville Jaguars, Los Angeles Chargers, Washington Commanders)
New England Patriots @ Chicago Bears — Thurs., 8:15 p.m. ET
This game could have some cat and mouse with Mike Vrabel (defensive coordinator) trying to slow down Ben Johnson (offensive coordinator). I’ll take the home team with more potential.
My Pick: Bears 28-20
Pittsburgh Steelers @ New Orleans Saints — Sun., 8:30 a.m. ET (Paris)
A 40+ year old Aaron Rodgers will have to travel to Europe. I’m not sure that is the most welcoming thing for a quarterback of his age. This seems like a letdown game for Pittsburgh but I’ll bite.
My Pick: Steelers 23-17
Cincinnati Bengals @ Baltimore Ravens — Sun., 1:00 p.m. ET
The Bengals need to make up ground as they have scuffled over the last three weeks.
My Pick: Bengals
Cleveland Browns @ Tennessee Titans — Sun., 1:00 p.m. ET
Robert Saleh should scheme up enough to beat DeShaun Watson…
My Pick: Titans
Indianapolis Colts @ Minnesota Vikings — Sun., 1:00 p.m. ET
At some point the Vikings will show their true colors… it might not be this week but it is coming…
My Pick: Vikings 24-20
Miami Dolphins @ New York Jets— Sun., 1:00 p.m. ET
Please, no one watch this game even if you are a fan.
My Pick: Jets 23-10
New York Giants @ Houston Texans — Sun., 1:00 p.m. ET
The Texans, or maybe better yet – Demeco Ryans, cannot afford to lose this game.
My Pick: Texans 27-19
San Francisco 49ers @ Atlanta Falcons — Sun., 1:00 p.m. ET
The reason that the Falcons will upset the 49ers is simple. Bijan Robinson. Raheem Morris’s defense has traditionally been mediocre against the run. I think Atlanta pounds the rock and keeps the ball out of San Francisco’s hands.
My Pick: Falcons 27-23
Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Carolina Panthers — Sun., 1:00 p.m. ET
Dave Canales has sneakily been a good coach the last two seasons.
My Pick: Panthers 24-17
Denver Broncos @ Arizona Cardinals— Sun., 4:05 p.m. ET
The Cardinals got a huge win over Los Angeles in Week 6 with all field goals. That won’t work against Denver.
My Pick: Broncos 23-7
Green Bay Packers @ Detroit Lions — Sun., 4:25 p.m. ET
Since Detroit’s defense is so bad, I have to believe this will be a shootout and the Packers have enough on defense to get at least 1 or 2 stops.
My Pick: Packers 36-28
Los Angeles Rams @ Las Vegas Raiders — Sun., 4:25 p.m. ET
The Rams have to win. They cannot afford to drop to 2-5 otherwise their season is probably over.
My Pick: Rams 31-21
Kansas City Chiefs @ Seattle Seahawks — Sun., 8:20 p.m. ET
I am very interested to see what Andy Reid vs. Mike Macdonald will look like from an X’s and O’s standpoint.
My Pick: Chiefs 26-23 (OT)
Dallas Cowboys @ Philadelphia Eagles — Mon., 8:15 p.m. ET
LOL. The Eagles are a mess whether Jalen Hurts is the quarterback or not. This game should get flexed off of Monday Night Football. Embarrassing matchup.
My Pick: Cowboys 27-17
