AJ Francis created buzz on TNA Impact (May 14, 2026) with the chokeslam of the year on KC Navarro in the Sactown Street Fight.
The spot was set up with tables outside. Prior to that chokeslam, Francis had a different chokeslam in mind. He wanted to hit an avalanche version onto chairs, but Navarro countered into a huge cutter.
Navarro stacked chairs on top of Francis and climbed the corner. Francis powered up like Frankenstein’s
monster to take control with a big boot. Next came the chokeslam of the year. Francis goozled Navarro, lifted him high into the air, and tossed that bag of meat over the ropes to crash through the tables on the floor. Francis rolled Navarro back into the ring for the winning pin.
Damn, that was an awesome chokeslam moment. The bigger takeaway is that Francis has developed into a very entertaining big man wrestler. He keeps racking up cool match after cool match. Haters could downplay Francis and credit his opponents, however, wrestling is a two-man dance. At this point, Francis has churned out enough entertaining matches that there is no denying his ability anymore.
