Each week throughout the season, we ask Jets fans how confident they are in the team.
Heading into Week 1, 63 percent of Jets fans who voted in our poll told us they were confident in the team’s direction. That is a solid number but still a tad lower than normal heading into Week 1.
A dominating Week 1 victory in Tennessee has made a big difference.
The opening victory moved some opinions. I can understand that. Personally I entered Week 1 in “wait and see” mode. Now we have seen an excellent performance.
Of course in the NFL teams need to perform week after week. These confidence surveys can experience wild swings from week to week depending on the team’s performance. A year ago Jets fans had an even higher confidence rating heading into Week 2 at 92 percent. A week later it fell to 45.
A good Week 1 performance is a start. Tomorrow the team must build on it.
