The NXT Outlaws still have their grubby mitts on TNA gold after the crew helped Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo keep the TNA International Championship. When in doubt, cause a disqualification.
Steve Maclin challenged Stacks for the title on Impact (Jan. 8, 2026). Stacks wrestled well against the more accomplished veteran, and, of course, he had assistance from the outside as the NXT Outlaws peppered cheap shots throughout.
Maclin finally got some breathing room once the referee caught Tyriek Igwe in the act.
Igwe was ejected. The rest of the Outlaws weren’t as brazen after that. Well, except for Arianna Grace. She caused a ruckus to save her husband.
Maclin was in control for the Tree of Woe spear to Stacks, however, Grace stepped into the ring to block the path. Maclin knew he had to eliminate these goons, so he went on a rampage outside the ring. Back inside, Maclin clobbered Stacks for the Tree of Woe spear again, and Grace stepped into the ring again. After poking Maclin in the chest, she gouged his eyes with fury. The referee called for the disqualification. The title didn’t change hands with that result. And still champion, Stacks… Boo!
These shenanigans should be fuel for a rematch, possibly at the TNA Genesis PPV. We shall see how it shakes out. In the meantime, Stacks has a date to defend the title against Shiloh Hill next week on NXT’s television program.
