The New York Jets are on the road in Tampa, Florida for the third game of their 2025 campaign. They will be taking on Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The game is scheduled to start at 1:00 pm EDT.
The game will be played in seasonably hot and humid weather for mid-September in the Tampa region. Partly cloudy skies will prevail throughout the game. Winds will be light and variable at 5 – 10 mph out of the east northeast to start the game, shifting to the northeast as the game progresses.
Temperatures will be in the upper 80s to near 90 to start the game, rising into the lower 90s as the game progresses. Relative humidity will be moderately high, in the lower 50s to start the game, dropping into the mid 40s as the game progresses. There will be a near zero chance of showers throughout the game.
These are going to be brutally hot and humid conditions for fans and players alike. Heat indexes will be nearly 100 degrees in the second half of the game. Players will be tested by these conditions. Dehydration, cramps and heat stress will all be possibilities as the game wears on. Football wasn’t meant for this kind of weather.
