Week 3 of the college football landscape has it all: Top 15 matchups, Top 25 matchups, marquee players, coaches, fans, band members, and a ton of firework-filled action on the gridiron. Let’s breakdown which players I’ve and many Saints fans have got eyes on this weekend.
Rueben Bain Jr.

Miami’s star-studded defensive line is led by edge rusher Rueben Bain Jr. The junior member of the Hurricanes is off to a blazing start in 2025 having already earned a sack and a half, a forced fumble, and an interception.
In a matchup versus the red-hot USF Bulls this week where “The U” is on upset watch, expect Bain to try and shut things down early.
Earnest Greene III

Earnest Greene is a large, looming figure. Standing at 6’4” and 320lbs, his presence along the offensive line for the Georgia Bulldogs makes him a formidable blocker against just about anyone in the country. Greene faces a tough road test this week as the Bulldogs travel to take on the 15th ranked Tennessee Volunteers.
Jyaire Hill

Michigan is coming off of a disappointing loss against a tough Oklahoma Sooners team. As if that was not bad enough, the Wolverines will now be without head coach Sherrone Moore for the next two games after a self-imposed suspension stemming from the Connor Stalions sign-stealing scandal. Even with facing a near 30-point underdog in Central Michigan, the Wolverines will be facing adversity. In this one, Hill is a player to watch as he tries to lead the Michigan defense to a complete shutdown of the Chippewas.
What are some other names you’re keeping an eye on throughout the upcoming season? Are there any players in particular that you’re hoping to see in a Saints’ uniform in 2026? Let us hear it in the comments!
