Influencer Logan Paul may be WWE’s most controversial star. Yet, he’s also a surprising source for insider news.
On his Impaulsive podcast, Paul got WWE President Nick Khan to answer a question fans have
wondered about for years: Who is “Green Shirt Guy”?
For nearly 15 years, a superfan known online as Superfan Smilez — universally dubbed “Green Shirt Guy” — has consistently sat front and center at WWE TV and live events, wearing a bright green, smiley-face shirt. His constant presence has fueled speculation that he might work for WWE or have insider connections.
Speaking with Paul, Khan set the record straight, revealing that the reality falls short of the legend.
“One of the sister companies of WWE and UFC is On Location, which is VIP Hospitality and Entertainment. So he pays for his seats. He pays a premium for those seats through On Location, and that’s why he gets to be in the front row,” Khan explained.
Paul also asked about a popular rumor that Smilez had been struck at a WWE event and was offered free tickets for life in exchange for not suing the company.
“No. Definitely not,” Khan replied, noting there was no such legal deal with Smilez or anyone else.
With the truth about Smilez revealed, only one question remains unanswered. Given the cost of WWE tickets, not to mention food and travel, Paul noted, “Man, he must have bank.” He also wondered what Smilez does for a living to afford such premium seats.
Having scooped reporters like Sean Ross Sapp and Dave Meltzer on a story fans have been dying to know, Paul might be the one to get Smilez to open up about his personal life.
