Real Madrid attacker Kylian Mbappé talked to the French press during France’s training camp and revealed how he made the decision to wear number 10 for Los Blancos this summer.
“It was really simple. Real Madrid called me during the summer and offered me the opportunity to wear number 10. I liked the idea so I accepted! Really simple!” he said.
Mbappé was also asked about his first impression of coach Xabi Alonso.
“I was very impressed with him. You see a guy who wants to succeed. He knows the club
perfectly because he himself played for Real Madrid as a player. There is a lot of clarity, he is very demanding, has hunger, conveys that hunger. We still have to improve. We all have to work,” said the striker.
Mbappé concluded his media appearance by explaining the reasons why he’s happy playing for Real Madrid.
“I’m happy where I am. I have fully come to terms with my arrival in Madrid; it’s fantastic to be able to play there. Everyone knows it was my dream. Spain gives me a lot of affection, respect, and recognition. It’s great. I feel fortunate to be there. I try to give back as much as possible every day,” he added.
