Welcome to the Morning Commute
Today we’re talking about Mizzou Football
25 carries for 300 rushing yards and 3 TDs? Three total tackles, a fumble recovery, and a pick-6? Yeah, there’s no doubt those numbers should be rewarded for conference
player of the week honors.
Ahmad Hardy is your Co-SEC Offensive Player of the Week (alongside former Tiger and Ole Miss’ Kewan Lacy).
Toriano Pride Jr. is your SEC Co-Defensive Player of the Week.
Mizzou’s next opponent is Oklahoma on Saturday in Norman — and the Sooners also racked up some player of the week honors. Cornerback Eli Bowen was named SEC Co-Defensive Player of the Week, and place kicker Tate Sandell was named SEC Co-Special Teams Player of the Week.
Looking ahead to Thanksgiving weekend — Missouri’s final regular season game at Arkansas is set for a 2:30 p.m. CST kick-off on SEC Network.

Mizzou is back in the Associated Press’s good graces after falling out for one week. The Tigers are ranked No. 23 after thrashing Mississippi State 49-27 on Saturday night behind Ahmad Hardy’s monstrous quads.
Good to see Mizzou back in the AP Top 25 rankings.
Ahmad Hardy became just the sixth player in SEC history to rush for 300 yards, and he now ranks second in Mizzou Football program history for single-game rushing yards behind Devin West.
Ahmad Hardy. Mr. 300.
A complete team like the Tigers will overpower a team of newcomers and transfers on Monday night.
An impressive first half was followed by a questionable second half.
With another intrasquad right around the corner on November 22, it’s time for my (long overdue) reaction to the team’s first public intrasquad, which was held in two parts on October 31 and November 1. For Majority Rules listeners, you already got some initial thoughts, which you can watch here.
Karen has a preview of what is expected to be a much-anticipated season for Mizzou Gymnastics. The national TV schedule also dropped.
Photos from basketball and football coverage overlap for the final time this year in this week’s column. Men’s basketball took down Minnesota 83-60 on Wednesday, and football celebrated senior night with a 49-27 win over Mississippi State for the final home game of the season
A collection of good photos from Hannah featuring basketball’s win over Minnesota and football’s Senior Night win.
In the old days, going to Oklahoma used to be a joyless slog, another guaranteed loss in an endless stream of 7 and 8 win seasons. Now, though, the Tigers find themselves a bit more positioned to play the spoiler. Oklahoma’s case for the CFP is strong, though not totally impenetrable. A loss to No. 23 Missouri would not only poke serious holes in their own candidacy, it might introduce some more chaos into the mix that could end up boding well for the Tigers. That’s the longest of long shots, but hey. What else do the Tigers have to play for right now?
Oklahoma comes in as 8.5-point favorites against Mizzou. Can the Tigers spoil the Sooners’ CFP hopes in Norman?
The Tigers powered the comfortable victory with another strong offensive performance. The win marked the second time this season that Dennis Gates’ squad has eclipsed 90 points.
Mizzou’s offense is firing on all cylinders right now, but only an 18-point win over Prairie View drops them a bit on KenPom.
Plus, our game thread in the win vs Prairie View and commitment news coming soon for Mizzou Football.
