Dynamite & Collision air tonight (Oct. 15) with a live 3-hour special from Cable Dahmer Arena in Kansas City, Missouri. This is the final episode of Dynamite during the four week build to WrestleDream,
which takes place on Saturday (Oct. 18).
First it was Kota Ibushi’s leg, now it’s Jack Perry’s eye
Tonight’s combo episode of Dynamite and Collision features a trios match of Kenny Omega & Jurassic Express vs. Josh Alexander, Hechicero, and Mark Davis of the Don Callis Family.
This is Mark Davis’ first match since he got injured in March. He returned to AEW last weekend on Collision to attack Kota Ibushi, whose leg had already been broken at the hands of Alexander. Omega quickly ran in to fight off Davis and the rest of the Callis goons before they could do any more damage to his golden lover.
This led to Jungle Jack Perry approaching Kenny later in the night to apologize for his past actions and to say he’ll have Kenny’s back as they share the same enemies now. Omega wants nothing to do with Perry and Luchasaurus, but he is running out of friends. It’s up to Jack to prove to Kenny that he can trust him now, and that process starts tonight in this trios match.
Ibushi’s doctors expect he’ll be out of action for about two years due to the broken femur. Don Callis must be thrilled with that news, but he wants to take things even further tonight by having Mark Davis consume Perry’s eyeball right in front of him.
The babyfaces will have to keep their eyes open for an appearance from the Young Bucks, who have once again blown all their money but have chance to win $500,000 at WrestleDream when they face Jurassic Express. Matthew and Nicholas Jackson will certainly have an advantage walking into that bout if they can help the Callis Family take out Perry’s eye tonight.
Can Kenny Omega and Jurassic Express work together to beat the Don Callis family? Tune into tonight’s 3 hour live special episode of Dynamite and Collision to find out.
The rest of the card
The Opps defend the AEW world trios championship tonight against La Faccion Ingobernable. AEW World Champion Hangman Page will be on commentary to watch how Samoa Joe handles his business in a title fight. How many members of LFI will Joe choke out by the time this one wraps up?
Darby Allin and Jon Moxley have a face-to-face confrontation tonight ahead of their I Quit match at WrestleDream. They aren’t allowed to touch each other during this segment, so it probably won’t end in murder. Will Darby instead show Jon how mentally tough he is by pouring a glass of water all over himself?
AEW Women’s World Champion Kris Statlander and “Timeless” Toni Storm will exchange Famous Last Words tonight before they fight over the belt at WrestleDream. This may very well turn out to be the most entertaining segment of the night.
The Hurt Syndicate vs. GOA is booked on tonight’s card. MVP and Ricochet aren’t officially part of this tag team bout, but they’ll rejoin the war between these two factions in another trios match at WrestleDream. Do Toa Liona and Bishop Kaun stand a chance to win tonight when The Hurt Syndicate’s weak link MVP can’t be pinned?
Jamie Hayter goes one-on-one with Skye Blue tonight, as something of a tune-up bout before she faces Thekla at WrestleDream. Well, in theory it’s a singles match tonight, but the rest of Triangle of Madness will surely be there to attack Hayter at some point.
The Death Riders are pissed off after Orange Cassidy defeated PAC last week. That’s why tonight it will be Wheeler Yuta and Daniel Garcia vs. Orange Cassidy and Kyle O’Reilly in a tag team match. On a related note, Claudio Castagnoli is booked in a singles match tonight against Roderick Strong. Will these two matches blend into each other as all hell breaks loose between the Death Riders and The Conglomeration?
Finally, Harley Cameron steps into the ring tonight for a singles match against Megan Bayne. Willow Nightingale better be ringside to make sure Megan doesn’t break Harley’s nose again.
Other stuff to keep an eye on
– TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher is set to defend the gold at WrestleDream against Mark Briscoe. Do they have any not-so-famous last words to say to each other on tonight’s go home show?
– TBS Champion Mercedes Mone has filed to trademark the phrase “Ultimo Mone” after winning her 10th belt last weekend. One thing Mercedes doesn’t have is an opponent at WrestleDream. Will that change during tonight’s broadcast?
– Konosuke Takeshita is the new IWGP world heavyweight champion. Will that huge win only increase the tension between him and AEW Unified Champion Kazuchika Okada ahead of their match at WrestleDream against AEW World Tag Team Champions Brodido?
– Big Bill and Bryan Keith should probably break up after they couldn’t even beat Max Caster and Anthony Bowens on last week’s Collision. Maybe they’ll have to do the job to Bang Bang Gang before they realize this isn’t working.
– When will Tony Khan reveal more details about the upcoming tournament to determine the first ever AEW women’s world tag team champions? Will Britt Baker Hikaru Shida return to AEW as part of the tourney?
– What’s next for Eddie Kingston and HOOK? Will they make an appearance tonight to help out a babyface who is overwhelmed by that damn numbers game?
– Where the f*** is Chris Jericho?
