This morning, the NFL unveiled the schedule of when rookies and veterans will report to training camp for each of the 32 teams. Here are those dates for your Cleveland Browns:
- July 23: Rookies report
- July 28: Veterans report
In addition, the league also reported when the first joint practice session would be for a visiting team. This year, the Buffalo Bills are visiting Berea, OH for a practice session on August 20. I’m a little surprised by that, because teams typically tend to have two days of joint practice sessions together before their preseason
game. The Bills vs. Browns preseason game is on August 22, though, and teams don’t practice the day before a game. Therefore, it looks like they’ll only have one session, and it probably won’t be open to the public.
Now, we await word from the Browns on what their full training camp schedule will be, and which dates will be open to the public. I’m not sure if Mary Kay Cabot has inside information, but she noted that Cleveland is “expected to open about nine practices to fans.”
