In a new 2027 NFL mock draft by Brent Sobleski of Bleacher Report, the Cardinals were given South Carolina edge rusher Dylan Stewart with the sixth-overall pick. Normally, a blue-chip player at a premium position like edge rusher is for-sure a top-five pick but here in this scenario the Cardinals luck out greatly after dropping just outside the first five picks.
Here’s what Sobleski had to say about the pairing and how Stewart fits with the Cardinals:
“Quarterback will certainly be at the forefront
of any conversation regarding the Arizona Cardinals this coming offseason. Jacoby Brissett continues to put up numbers while the team regularly loses. Eventually, third-round rookie Carson Beck should get a look. However, the Cardinals roster isn’t built to the point where this pick should be forced. Instead, Dylan Stewart provides an elite talent at a different premium position.”
