The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are right in the thick of the hunt for a college football playoff berth with three games remaining on its regular season schedule. At 7-2 and ranked #9 in the AP Poll, it certainly looks like the path to the playoff, and even to host a playoff game, all relies on the Irish winning out.
Winning out obviously includes this week as they travel east to take on the Pitt Panthers for the 73rd time in history. Notre Dame is 52-21-1 all-time against Pitt and has won 7 out of
the last 8 (the last 4 in a row). This year, however, is as big of a game as there has been in this series for quite some time. Despite Pat Narduzzi’s awful take that he doesn’t care about this game — even if they lose 110-0 — Pitt is ranked and has a shot to shoot up the standings to better their position if they do win the ACC.
What a fool.
So… what’s the weather going to be like on the banks of the Three Rivers? It certainly isn’t going to be what it looks like right now in South Bend. On Saturday, there will be a high of 55 degrees and will be partly cloudy — with very little wind.
