Former New Orleans Saints guard Andrus Peat has announced that he is retiring from the NFL after 11 seasons.
11 years in the league, I gave it everything I had,” Peat wrote in via his Instagram account. “I may be walking away from football, but not from the lessons it taught me. Thank you to my coaches, teammates, and especially my brothers in the trenches. I’m grateful beyond words that I was able to live out this dream. On to the next chapter with my wife and sons. All glory to God!”

the Saints in the 1st round (13th overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft, Peat played in New Orleans for 9 years before moving on to Las Vegas in 2024. Last season, he played for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Peat earned 3 consecutive Pro Bowl selections with the Saints from 2018-2022.
