The Buffalo Bills are back in action for Week 8 after a bye that proved fruitful for their overall standing in both the AFC East and the AFC in general. Following a two-game west coast road stand where they picked up wins against the Los Angeles Rams and Las Vegas Raiders, the Bills are back in Orchard Park, NY and ready to welcome the Baltimore Ravens at the new Highmark Stadium.
At 5-1, Buffalo now shares a piece of first place in the AFC, while Baltimore is stuck in the AFC North basement with
a 4-3 record. The oddsmakers at FanDuel Sportsbook expect a close game, with the Bills currently 3.5-point favorites (-3.5) over the Ravens.
Buffalo’s defense has struggled to stop opposing offenses in most games to this point in the season, and Baltimore just gave up 35 points to the Cincinnati Bengals. Could we see a high-scoring affair this coming Sunday? The current odds don’t expect a track meet, with the over/under set at O/U 53.5.
It’s going to be important to be tuned-in to both teams’ injury throughout the week. Of significance for the Bills is whether or not wide receiver DJ Moore (AC joint sprain) and defensive tackle Ed Oliver (hip) are healthy enough to suit up in Week 8. The Ravens’ biggest concerns continues to be the health of quarterback Lamar Jackson, who has missed the last three games due to a high ankle sprain.
This will be the 15th game in the all-time series between Buffalo and (the current) Baltimore, with each team having won 7 games in that span. The Bills and quarterback Josh Allen are 4-3 against the Ravens since 2018, which includes a pair of playoff wins.
Buffalo and Baltimore last sparred in primetime during Week 1 of the 2025 NFL season. The Bills pulled off an incredible comeback win late in the fourth quarter set in motion by Ed Oliver’s forced fumble of running back Derrick Henry. With just over four minutes left, Allen got to work in guiding Buffalo’s offense to 16 unanswered points and a 41-40 win to start the season.
