Bayern Munich’s Michael Olise is having an unbelievable start to the 2026/27 season.
Five goals, two assists. In just five games across all competitions. Mental.
He was also the Man of the Match against Bodø/Glimt tonight, and for good reason. Olise’s stat sheet was nothing short of insanity. With two world-class goals and a fabulous assist for Harry Kane’s header, Olise continued to show the world why he is probably the best right winger at the moment. And probably a top-three in the world player
on any given day.
A strong start to his 2026/27 Ballon d’Or campaign already?
And on top of all that, he matched a Champions League record in the process:
That’s right. Olise, Neymar, and Coutinho are the only 3 players who have registered 6+ shots, 6+ key passes, and 6+ successful dribbles since 2003/04 in a UCL game. The devil’s combo of winger stats?
Notice that Bodø/Glimt is by far the best team in that list, especially given how strong they have been both domestically and in Europe of late. A true testament to Olise’s quality.
Michael is a wing demon. And he is unstoppable at the moment.
Bayern Munich might just have the next two Ballon d’Or winners in its squad right now.
