The Philadelphia Eagles officially announced the inactives list for their 2025 NFL Week 8 game against the New York Giants.
The following Eagles players WILL NOT PLAY: A.J. Brown, Cam Jurgens, Azeez Ojulari,
Adoree’ Jackson, and Sam Howell.
Brown, Jurgens, Ojulari, and Jackson were ruled out on Friday’s final injury report.
With Brown out, the Eagles have DeVonta Smith, Jahan Dotson, Darius Cooper (activated from injured reserve on Saturday), John Metchie III, and Xavier Gipson available at wide receiver.
With Jurgens out, Brett Toth is expected to start at center with Landon Dickerson remaining at left guard. Rookie Drew Kendall is active to provide depth on the interior offensive line.
With Ojulari out and Brandon Graham yet to be activated to the roster, the Eagles have just three healthy full-time edge rushers: Jalyx Hunt, Joshua Uche, and Patrick Johnson. Jihaad Campbell will likely continue to see playing time on the edge as well with Nakobe Dean filling in at off-ball linebacker.
With Jackson out and Jakorian Bennett still on injured reserve, the Eagles figure to start Kelee Ringo at cornerback. Ringo really struggled in his last game against the Giants, so, we’ll see if he can rebound or not in this spot. Depth cornerbacks behind starters Ringo, Quinyon Mitchell, and Cooper DeJean include veteran Parry Nickerson and rookie Mac McWilliams (who hasn’t played since Week 4).
Howell is the emergency third quarterback. He can only enter the game if both Jalen Hurts and Tanner McKee become unavailable.
