After Kyle Whittingham opted to not retain former defensive backs coach LaMar Morgan, 2026 four-star cornerback Andre Clarke Jr. had his request to be released from his letter of intent with Michigan granted.
The Richmond, Virginia native committed to the Wolverines over the summer over other programs such as Penn State, Kentucky, SMU, Miami, Florida State and others, with Morgan being one of the biggest reasons for him signing with Michigan.
Clarke is the fourth member of the 2026 class to be released from their letter of intent with the Wolverines, along with four-star tight end Matt Ludwig, four-star wide receiver Brady Marchese and three-star offensive lineman Bear McWhorter.
