Enzo Fernández’s agent, former PSG man Javier Pastore, made a big show — and not for the first time — of his client’s potential move to Real Madrid with a couple interviews this week. The first time he did it, Enzo ended up copping a fine and an in-house suspension from Chelsea for some rather innocuous comments of his own. Enzo learned to be quiet since; Pastore has not. So now that he’s done it again, Real Madrid have come out to publicly slap him in the face.
Maybe it’s time to look for better
representation, Enzo.
Real have put out a Comunicado Oficial about it all, categorically denying the whole thing. Even if that’s just smoke screen for an eventual move, it’s pretty funny.
“Real Madrid wishes to express its utmost respect for Enzo Fernández, a great footballer whose career and quality are widely known, as well as for Chelsea FC, a club with which it maintains an excellent institutional relationship.
“Precisely because of the respect that an entity like Chelsea FC deserves and because of the principles of institutional loyalty that have always governed the actions of Real Madrid, the club considers it necessary to categorically deny speculations that are unfounded and do not correspond to reality.
“Real Madrid regrets that, despite the clarity of the facts and the absence of any action on the part of the club, information continues to be disseminated that does not correspond to reality and that only serves to create confusion among fans and unnecessarily harm the organisations and individuals involved.”

Pastore also said that he wants Enzo to be able to focus fully on the World Cup and not get distracted by any transfer drama. So mission entirely unaccomplished in that sense as well.
In any case, good luck tonight, Enzo in the Round of 32!
