The Steelers got some good news on their latest injury report with a top defender returning to practice.
Cornerback Jamel Dean (ankle) was limited in practice Thursday after not participating Wednesday. Veteran defensive back Jalen Ramsey also returned to practice after a rest day on Wednesday.
Still held out of practice were running back Rico Dowdle (toe) and linebacker Cole Holcomb (personal).
Wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. (foot), cornerback Joey Porter Jr. (conditioning) and running back Jaylen
Warren (shoulder) remained limited on Thursday. Rookie guard Gennings Dunker was a new addition to the report, listed as limited with a knee injury.
Starting right guard Spencer Anderson remains off of the Steelers’ injury report despite beat writer Mark Kabolyreporting Wednesday that the offensive lineman suffered a bone chip in his right leg. Kaboly wrote that Anderson plans to “fight through the pain to play.”
The Steelers were seen giving Brock Hoffman snaps at right guard along with starting center Zach Frazier in practice Wednesday.
The Bengals, the Steelers’ Week 3 opponent, saw no change from Wednesday to Thursday on the injury report. Defensive tackles Jonathan Allen and B.J. Hill, as well as wide receiver Andrei Iosivas, remain non-participants, with Iosivas expected to land on injured reserve.
