Baisangur Susurkaev took some time to get going, but when he finally found Eric McConico’s chin, he finished in a big way.
The UFC 322 preliminary card featured an early highlight as Susurkaev landed a massive
right hand that left Eric McConico face-down on the canvas in the third round.

Despite the memorable finish, it wasn’t an easy fight for Susurkaev by any stretch. The recent Contender Series signing struggled to get his striking going early, and frequently found himself tied up by McConico, who didn’t seem intimidated by the heavily favored Susurkaev. Heading into the final round, it was unclear if Susurkaev was up on the cards or if he needed a finish.
But finish he did, and in doing so Susurkaev kept his unbeaten record intact as he improved to 11-0. The 24-year-old middleweight prospect is now 2-0 in the UFC, with both of his wins coming by way of KO/TKO or submission. He successfully caps off a 2025 campaign that also saw him earn a UFC contract on Contender Series in August and then step in on short notice to win a fight at UFC 319 four days later.
McConico falls to 10-4-1 in his career and has now lost two of his three UFC fights.
