Both LB Carson Schwesinger and TE Harold Fannin Jr. went down with injuries early on in today’s matchup against Pittsburgh. Schwesinger limped off the field after a tackle, and Fannin Jr. appears to have
reaggravated the groin injury that’s been bothering him as of late.
Schwesinger looks to be in some discomfort on the sideline as he’s currently on the bike trying to keep his lower body warm. No official update has been released, but it appears to be related to his quad/thigh as of now. He recently ended up coming back into the game, but it’s evident that something’s wrong because he’s obviously favoring one of his legs.
Fannin Jr. unfortunately got hurt on his incredibly nice touchdown catch in the first quarter. It initially looked like he had injured his hip, but the way he landed must’ve strained the groin.
Following halftime, Fannin was ruled out for the rest of the game:
Schwesinger remained in the game during the Steelers first possession of the second half.
We’ll continue to monitor the situation as more information becomes available.
